Taking a hike up in the hills near where I live, I am given surprise guidance. A delightful woman joins me on the hike, and shows me to the top of the ridge. I’ve never gone to the top of the ridge! I say “I’ve tried that, it is too steep for me,” and she says “it is a steep climb, but it is worth it when you see the view.”

She laughs and walks with me, we walk to the very tippy top of Eagle Rock and the view is extraordinary.

I wouldn’t have gone that high without this guidance! What a beautiful day. And what a lovely lesson. Sometimes, it helps to have a guide.
